Why should I join OpinionSquare?

Will I start getting unwanted SPAM and pop-ups if I join OpinionSquare?

No. OpinionSquare will not sell your personal information to other companies and will not give any other companies permission to market to you. The only e-mail and pop-ups you will receive once joining OpinionSquare will be surveys and occasional member services notices. For more information, please read our Privacy Policy & ULA.

Are non-US residents eligible for surveys and cash prizes?

Under most circumstances, US and Canadian residents are eligible to receive cash, prizes and sweepstakes entries. Residents of other countries may receive survey requests with special incentives for their participation.

What if I forgot my member login password?

You can request a new password by entering your email address in the member login in box and hitting the "Forgot Password" option. Your password will be sent to your registered email address.

What if I am having login issues?

If you are using Internet Explorer on a PC and having trouble with logging in, it may be the result of previously stored cookies on your machine. In order to fix this problem please follow the instructions below:
  1. Open your Internet Explorer
  2. Go to Tools / Internet Options
  3. Under the Browsing History Category Click on 'Delete” click “Delete All” select “Also delete files and settings stored by Add ons”
  4. Under the Browsing History Category Click on 'Settings', select 'Every visit to the page', then on 'Ok'
  5. Once this is done, exit from Internet Explorer completely and re-open it
  6. When Internet Explorer has re-opened, please go back to our website and try to login.

How do I cancel my OpinionSquare membership?

Although OpinionSquare hates to see members leave, we realize there are good reasons for you ending your OpinionSquare membership. If that is the case, please login to OpinionSquare Member Area and select Modify or Remove Services. From there you can choose whether you wish to opt-out of surveys, other communications, or all OpinionSquare services.

Privacy Questions

Do you collect banking information? How do you handle my PII?

We do not store bank account numbers in our database. That said, some information from online transactions (such as shopping, trading and banking) can provide us with valuable research data when aggregated with the Internet browsing and purchasing behavior of other members. While we do not store your bank account information, we may store other information, such as the bank with which you have an account.

We are careful to protect your personal information through a variety of physical and digital security mechanisms, which include physically separating it from other information and encrypting selected confidential data elements.

Can other members of my household see my profile information?

No, other members of your household can not see your profile information unless you gave them the email address you registered with and your password.

What happens to my survey responses?

Your survey responses, along with the responses of every other OpinionSquare member who has answered that survey, are compiled and delivered to our clients on an aggregated and anonymous basis. Like TV ratings, your opinions help to shape the future of the products and services that our clients offer.

Survey Questions

Do I have to take all the surveys you send me?

No. Every survey is absolutely voluntary. If you don't have time or aren't interested, simply delete the e-mail. But remember, the more surveys you take, the more rewards you can earn.

How do I get more surveys?

Installing the OpinionSquare software increases your eligibility for surveys and helps provide you with surveys which are most relevant to the services/products you use.

What if I do not receive my points?

In general it only takes a few minutes for your reward points to show up in your account but please allow up to an hour. If they still do not appear please contact us using our support form.

My member area says I have available surveys to take but none appear?

We try and place most of our surveys in the member area under “View Available Surveys”, however, please check your email account that you registered with for surveys as well.

How many surveys should I expect to receive?

On average, OpinionSquare offers 3-4 surveys per month. It is always up to you whether or not to take a survey. Some months you may not receive any surveys and some months you may receive many. Some surveys are targeted to specific groups, so you may not qualify to answer every survey. You can increase your chances of getting more surveys by installing the OpinionSquare software and keeping it active on your computer. Log-in to your OpinionSquare account now and "Test your browser" to make sure your software is active.

How do I know if you received my survey?

If at the end of the survey you get a page that says "Thank you," we have received your survey. You may only complete a survey once, so please do not try to retake the survey once you have received this "Thank you" page.

How can I prevent my survey invitations from being falsely classified as SPAM?

Add us to your address book. Please click here, select your ISP from the list and follow the instructions to add us to your address book.

What if I do not qualify for a survey?

Some surveys are looking for specific criteria that you may not meet. If you are unable to complete a survey because you do not qualify, typically we will still reward you with a token that can be used to play our online game to earn points or other prizes.

A survey I wanted to take is no longer available, why?

Sometimes we receive the desired number of responses to surveys more quickly than anticipated and will then close the survey. However, we will be sure to send you an invitation to a new survey as soon an applicable one is available.

What are the system requirements for joining OpinionSquare?

In general, we support most Microsoft Operating systems. Pop-up surveys are currently only delivered to computers running a compatible Windows operating system via an Internet Explorer browser; however, anyone surfing with Internet Explorer, Firefox, or AOL can receive a pop-up survey provided Internet Explorer is installed on your computer. How do I uninstall OpinionSquare software from my computer?

If you would like to remove the OpinionSquare software from your computer and are using a Windows-based PC you may do so using the following instructions below:

Go to the Start Menu / Settings / Control Panel / 'Add/Remove Programs' ('Programs And Features' on Vista and Windows 7). Find OpinionSquare in the list of programs. Click "Remove" (“Uninstall” in Vista & Windows 7) to delete the OpinionSquare software. Then restart your computer.

Installing the OpinionSquare software increases your eligibility for surveys. Like Amazon's recommendations to members, one of the functions of our software is to help us send you the surveys of most interest to you. It monitors your Internet surfing and provides you with surveys which are most relevant to the services/products you use. In addition, we combine your Internet surfing data that we track with other OpinionSquare members' data to create an overall (and anonymous!) understanding of Internet usage and e-commerce. Our goal is to understand Internet users browsing and buying habits, but never to influence them or interfere with your Internet activities. For this reason, we do not advertise on our site nor do we release your name or other contact information to third parties for direct marketing purposes. How do I know if I'm registered for OpinionSquare?

Log into the Members' section from the home page, or by visiting www.opinionsquare.com/members.aspx. Once you are logged in, go to the section called "Modify or Remove Services" and check to make sure that you are still set to receive surveys. If you cannot log in, click the "forgot password" link, or re-register. Otherwise, complete the support form and describe the problem you are experiencing.
